Adam is one of the original import services from the Belgian Val Saint Lambert. The imports started in 1891 and production went to Holmegaard in the years 1910-1930, where the glass is taken out of production.
Adam is also found in a smooth version, called Eve. This was in production until the 1960s.
The grinding on Adam is a guilloche. This is a technique where the glass is covered with wax in which small copper wheels run after a defined drawing.
