Louis Maria Niels Peder Moe (1857 - 1945) Danish-Norwegian Painter and illustrator. Educated at the Danish Academy of Art from 1876 under (F.Vermeheren & Joergen Roed). Learned etching by Carl Locher and studied oil painting under L. Tuxen. Exhibitions in Norway, Charlottenborg & Brussels etc. He made about 160 different etchings. Many all over the world love his fabulous illustrations of books and cover's among others: H.C. Andersen, Saxo, Holger Drachmann and his own Children's book. In periods he worked for Royal Copenhagen and Aluminia, where he designed plates, Christmas plates and faun figurines. He also sculptured for Ipsen's ceramic and other
