Ship painting by Bille, Vilhelm Victor, 1864-1908, marine painter with the motif of "The Battle of Helgoland in 1864". Parents: Marine painter Carl Ludvig B. and Antoinette Emmaline Bonfils, and pupil of the father; must have visited Kunstakad for a short time. Kbh. From the quality of the painting, it looks like something Bille did towards the end of his career as a marine painter. A painting of very high quality and detail with extraordinary technique.
