Glass paperweights were popular around 1880 and well into the 1900s.
They where produced on almost all Danish and foreign glassworks, the most simple are made by the amount of glass left in the oven after a working day, where the more delicate were produced in line with other glassware as a catalog product.
This is with inserted air blowers, which are blown in with a wet hollow wooden stick, and with stained glass pieces to illuminate flowers.
