The fish platter is beautifully decorated in overglaze with a large Arctic crab and water plants on its side.
The dish itself is also found with blue fluted decoration and without any decor in its center field.
The dish is stamped with the very rare export stamp from 1893.
By demand from the US customs authorities, Royal Copenhagen began to stamp their goods, which had to be sent to the United States with a red stamp indicating that the goods were from Denmark.
This was only done in a very short time - so the dish dates pretty accurately to 1893.
